Regional IT Director of McCann Latin America & Caribbean

Mr. Acevedo has  joined McCann  in 1997 as IT Director for McCann Colombia. He was responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting business applications. This includes, ERP Platforms, Financial Systems, Office Automation, and Infrastructure. In 2002, He moved to Brazil to work in different IT Business Projects and also he was coordinating the IT infrastructure area for MWG  Latam. At the end  of 2004 he moved to Mexico City to lead the IT projects for MWG and also help to create the concept of Share IT Services for all IPG Mexico offices. In this role he was responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance ( SOX), and providing Program Management for Key IT initiatives (including Infrastructure Consolidations and Business Systems and Media System Tools). He also developed the company’s SAP Strategy  for Mexico and Architecture to lead the workflow system   consolidation initiative across IPG Mexico  offices. In 2015 he returned to McCann as IT Regional Director.

Prior to joining McCann, he has worked for a Telecommunication company in Colombia, IMPSAT and began working as System Satellite Manager. He also was working in others Telecom companies as Nokia, Yles Radio Open System in Europe

Alex, when he was 16 years old he traveled to Russia to study Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, he developed his career as a System Engineer and also took the opportunity to study a Master of Sciences in Satellite Communications. In 2010, he finished a MBA in Anahuac University in Mexico City  a now he is a PhD (Spin Physic) candidate.

 

Currently, He is working happily at McCann, lives in sunny Mexico City with his wife Lupita and he has 3 children Jazmin, Alex and Santi.
